Hi, has anyone ever worked here (especially as a new grad)? Any thoughts on the hospital? I'm thinking of applying for the New Grad Program, any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Better get cracking! Those slots are highly sought-after. TMH is one of the premier hospitals in the US. Always listed among the 'top 100' for various clinical specialties. They have been Magnet for a long time. The only downsides? Size - it's absolutely huge, which can be daunting if you're not used to it..... and of course, the remote parking situation.
Best of Luck to you!

I recently got hired at Methodist in the medical center as a new grad for their residency program. So far I love it!! Great educators and preceptors! They really do take care of their employees with bonuses every quarter and a very long training. Everyone is so nice and most of the nurses I have talked to had been working there for over 10 years! They love it there. If you have any questions I'll try my best to answer to the best of my knowledge. Apply!!
Requirements:
Cumaltive GPA: 3.2 or higher
Score a 80% on their NLN test
Hesi exit: 900 or 950~ I can't remember exactly
As for parking it is free, you will park in a remote parking lot and take the metro rail, all paid for by Methodist.

Lucky!!! I started at an hca facility and recently the nurses got a 0.5$ raise after nothing for 2 years and taking away weekend incentives.
And they wonder why turnover/agency use is so high???
If you don't mind me asking, what is your base $/hr?
You sound lucky and happy !

If you don't mind me asking what is the NLN test??? I read online that the HESI exit if you haven't done it that is ok. It wasn't a requirement for being hired. If Your GPA is just shy of the 3.20 would they still accept you??? I also read that you can apply even if you haven't written the NCLEX exam once you are eligible for it you can apply??? what are your thoughts??? I am an internationally trained nurse with a BSN I've registered over here (in my country) for my license but I have not received it as yet, should I still apply??? If I do apply now which internship season will I get called for if I were successful??? I don't know if I am correct in saying this, but I read on the site that they require CPR and first aid certification for this internship program is that true??? SOME ONE PLEASE HELP I WANT TO WORK AT THE METHODIST HOSPITAL SO BADLY....................Hey does any other hospital in the Houston Texas area offer such an internship??? if so what are their names???

As for GPA, I'm not too sure as it was stated the cumaltive gpa is a 3.2. You will have to hand them all your transcripts from all the schools you attend so they can calculate it. You can still apply even if you have not taken the nclex. As for CPR, you have to be BLS certified. You should just go ahead and apply! Sorry if I'm missing anything, typing on my phone.
