Starting a thread for those who applied at Merritt College in Oakland for fall 2022 ADN

I emailed them to confirm that they received my acceptance. I sent it about a week ago, but never heard back. So I’m just going to assume they got it and show up to orientation.

Hi there! I was wondering for those who got accepted, what is your plan in regards to orientation? I have emailed them 5 times now about orientation. After reading the through all the handbooks and brochures, all I know is that orientation is tomorrow. Has anyone else gotten an exact time or place? Thanks for the help, and I look forward to meeting you all!

Hi there, yes on the acceptance letter that was emailed its 9am-2pm at S-449 Babara Lee Science and Allied health building at Merritt ( something like that).

Hey guys, those who got into the program, has anyone registered for classes ? 
no one has sent out an email about the classes. As well has anyone have had issues with castle branch and the code we’ve been given ?

You have to email admissions with your student ID and a copy of your Driver's license in order to be enrolled. I finished all my castle branch requirements with no issues. what sort of problems are you having with the code.

yes the program starts Monday the 22nd.

hey yall! I gave up my seat 2 weeks ago but continue to receive emails welcoming me to the program. I'm not sure when they will update this and take me out of the program, hopefully offering someone on the waitlist a seat.

hi! I just got accepted to the program for Fall 2024 & this was the most recent thread I saw. I wanted to ask if anyone can give me an insight about how their program is? I keep seeing negative reviews so im getting discouraged, but then this is the only nursing program I got accepted to 😭 help!

Every program has its negative aspects. I just finished their program 2 weeks ago, and I had a wonderful experience. Take everyone's comment with a grain of salt. People have different interactions, experiences and outside life issues that can negatively impact their nursing school experience. I'm happy to answer any questions!

Hi! thank you so much for answering me back. I kept looking for any recent threads and was looking for students who got accepted, but no one's been responding so I'm so grateful to hear back! That's good to hear about your experience. Could you tell me more about what the clinicals were like and where you did it? And any tips about what the best way to study is based on how the professors teach? 😭
