I wanted to create this group for those who applied to the ABSN program in the Bronx for fall 2020

Well, I just received a rejection email not too long ago. Not the best feeling, but still want to encourage everyone else here.

Best of luck, keep fighting! May you all become great nurses ?

I'm sorry! something better is waiting for you. keep positive. did you apply for Summer or fall. do you mind sharing your stats?

I know I'm not a strong a strong applicant, and the competition is very high. I'm an older applicant whose passed is catching up. I was academically dismissed from two institutions in my late teens and early 20s. After years of working retail, then office jobs, I went back to school and earned my bachelor's of arts with a 3.5 GPA. I went back to community college to take prerequisite courses and earned a 3.4 overall in my prereqs, but a 3.3 for the science GPA.

Almost forgot to answer your question! I applied for the Fall 2020 cohort.

thats amazing. through everything, you still preserved. It's not the end for you. you are an older applicant but your GPA kicks my GPA ***. good luck with everything.

You're too kind! I think it's just tough because so many people out there are so talented, driven and passionate about becoming nurses and it shows. You may not think your GPA is great (which I have to say isn't the only indicator of your capabilities!), but I'm positive you make up for it in so many other ways!
