MEPS 2015

So I am supposed to be scheduled for MEPS soonish. I have signed up for 2 different dates, both of which have been canceled. I have a questions though, I am a 25 year old female. I was told a few months ago from my original recruiter that I needed to have all my medical records. However, during the last couple months my recruiter has changed and they have not asked about my medical records and I have not given them to them. I have also been told a lot of inaccurate information from my new recruiter as well.

My question is this: Do I need to take my last gynecological exam with me to MEPS? I also was told I needed to have proof that they could not find my medical records when I was hospitalized when I was a baby. I have that do I need to take that with me?

Help I feel that my recruiter is setting me up to fail.

From what I understand your GYN exam needs to be less then 1 year old.

It is but do they need proof? Like I said my recuitor did not take my med records.

As the saying goes no documentation it was not done, so yes you need proof that it was done.

I'm not sure on this....when I went to MEPS last year, I didn't bring any of that. I remembered dates of important checkups, ER visits, etc but I definitely didn't bring confirmation for anything. I think I may have brought my immunizations or something...Also I was told the MEPS wasn't required now until you're selected, because it's too expensive to send 300 applicants yet only 35 of those actually NEED the physical...I have mine since it's good for 2 years, but otherwise my recruiter wouldn't be sending me, unless I'm misinformed

Thank you all!

There are some items which you only need dates, ie fractures and others you need documentation ie immunizations, Pap smears.

Really? I asked a female recruiter and was told I only need my pap if it's abnormal and they have not requested immunizations. Would it be best to take these with me and have them just incase?

I found that it varied based on whatever doctor you were assigned to at MEPS. Some of them are more lax than others. To be on the safe side, I would bring absolutely everything you have with you.

We all have dealt with recruiters who say one thing and then when you get to MEPS they say another.

I know it's just frustrating!

At least for the Army you are going to get all of your immunizations over again anyway so your records won't matter.

Recruiters aren't very motivated these days as the ranks are pretty full. I know Navy nursing is overmanned. You should bring your last pap results and any current shots. Also, they will be looking for any documentation needed for a waiver. Your recruiter should be telling you what things may be disqualifying or require a waiver. Basically MEPS will be trying to determine if you are suitable for active duty service i.e. are you deployable? If you can't locate your records--you can't locate them. I wouldn't worry about it unless it relates to some rare serious condition or illness.
