Hi all! Starting this thread for all of us new grads who are applying to any of the Memorial Hermann hospitals for the Summer 2017 GN Residency programs!
Let's keep each other updated on emails/match days/how interviews went, etc!!
What location and what specialty have you applied for?!
My #1 choice: MH The Woodlands - ER
Good luck to all of you!!!
Congratulations !!! That's so exciting! By chance did the status of your application change ? I'm still hoping and praying I hear something.
Mine still says "application under review." I did email a recruiter, and I think that prompted the call. She did mention that 7 total were chosen for NICU
Hey Tiffany.lane12! Congratulations on getting an offer in the ER! I also interviewed for the position, but I guess I didn't get itI felt that the interview went pretty well overall, but I know there were a ton of other applicants. Would you mind giving some insight to your interview? Did you go to pre-match day? I want to take my interview as a positive learning experience and get ready to do better in the next ER interview so any tips to stand out are greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly in advance & all the best of luck to you! :)
Hey I'm sorry to hear that TBH I'm surprised I got it... I was told about 50 people interviewed and only 3 were selected. I did not go to pre-match day (I'm from out of state). I was in the first group of non pre-match day interviews so maybe that helped my chances? Or the fact that I'm out of state? I'm honestly not sure how they picked because all the candidates seemed so well qualified. I tried to prepare for the interview by looking up possible questions so I wouldn't be so nervous (Memorial Hermann, ER, new grad & behavioral interview questions). I think the best advice is not to let your nerves get the best of you. As soon as I calmed down I felt like the interview went alot smoother and I clicked with the interviewers. Ps - I got rejected from 3 jobs before this because my nerves wrecked my interview! Hope this helps!
