Hi guys,

MH's application opened up today! Anyone else apply?

Also, did anyone attach a transcript? On the general page it said to but on the actually application it only said resume(mandatory), and optional cover letter and letters of rec?

CONGRATS to everyone who was offered an interview so far! My first choice now says no longer under consideration for Peds IMU so im figuring I got dropped. Super bummed. But I have two questions: 1. Does anyone know if its likely you get a chance to interview for your second, or is it only if they don't fill the spots with priority choices? 2. Has anyone heard of any other residencies open in the Houston area? I've been trying to apply and some have been iffy or unclear on dates.

For your first question I know that from the email I got weeks ago it said " If not selected to interview for Virtual Match Day, you will receive a declination email, and will immediately begin to be considered for your second choice campus. There may be a possibility you will interview for your second choice location on our first set of Virtual Match Days. Second match days will vary by campus, but an estimated date to hear from a recruiter for second match days is the weeks of June 22nd and June 29th." And for your 2nd question I know Methodist opened up only for Willowbrook but they're only hiring med surg. My High acuity clinical instructor right now said that MD Anderson where he works at is at a hiring freeze pretty much as of now. CHI St Luke's is supposed to open mid June but I honestly can't find their residency app but I did submit a general application beginning of June.

Hi there ! I also applied for PIMU as my first choice and my application says the same thing. But I wouldn’t lose hope yet! This is what I saw from a previous cohort.

@dorkyhades Thank you so much for sharing all that info with me! I appreciate it. I've been looking at the same as you and noticed as well with Methodist (hopefully they open more) and I did the same for CHI St. Lukes. @Jvarela242 Thank you so much as well you made me feel so much better. I haven't received a declination email yet so hopefully theres still a chance for us haha

CONGRATS to everyone who received an interview, you are gonna kill it!! I haven't heard anything with both my applications saying no longer considered after seeing what others have posted. I am staying hopeful that I will hear something because San Antonio, does not pay well for new grads 24-25/hr across most facilities.
