Hi everyone, I wanted to open a discussion for those that applied to the November 2021 Nurse Residency Program for Memorial Healthcare System just to keep everyone involved and informed if there are updates between applicants. I also thought it would be nice to connect with others who have the same interests or applied to the same units.

I thought we had to apply through the one nurse residency app for the other memorial hospitals? Can we apply to multiple?

No I haven’t heard anything and I only applied for peds :( starting to worry since it’s been awhile

Received a call yesterday that the position I applied for is “no longer available” not sure if it’s a rejection or they pulled the peds residencies? But was offered the option to interview for other memorial positions. Strange.

I just got a call asking me if I could upload my entire application again because it was incomplete??? Even tho they rejected me the first time for not enough experience. They asked me if I was interested in telemetry or surgical position... I guess they’re doing second rounds for positions that weren’t filled... strange

That’s what they offered me also, to interview with surgical services or tele. It was a hard pass for me.

I did not. Wasn’t offered any interview or communication with anything I applied to. Just offered to interview with surgical services or tele after the positions I applied to were “not available”.

I don’t know if it’s worth it to go into a field I don’t want... it may make it harder to switch into my preferred field after. Much to think about. Perhaps I could wait for their next cohort to try again...
