Hi everyone, I wanted to open a discussion for those that applied to the November 2021 Nurse Residency Program for Memorial Healthcare System just to keep everyone involved and informed if there are updates between applicants. I also thought it would be nice to connect with others who have the same interests or applied to the same units.
I’m thinking maybe because most of us applied to pediatrics, it will take longer. One because peds is very competitive and two because the guidelines for pediatrics are a little more strict in what they’re looking for. I think that’s why those who applied to “regular” new grad floors like tele, medsurg, ortho, l&d, etc. got called faster because they’re pretty routine and easy to fill with new grads.

I applied for ICU and ED, which is also hard to get in. I just hope they call! The wait is crazy....

Just want to give some guidance. So I sent my application in on July 12, got a phone call back Thursday the 26th of august, and had my webex interview today. I had applied for the ED as my first choice. Cross your fingers for me, I'll update if they call back.
AHHHH congratulations! Crossing my fingers and sending you all the positive energy. How was the interview? What kind of questions did they ask? More general or department focused? Also, how long was it? (sorry for all the questions LOL!)
