Yes I would like to know how is the interview
3 month training plus 3 months internship
It depends on the individual school. My school grants academic fresh start at any point in ones educational career. Wether classes were 10 years ago or last semester. But its only granted once. Check with your school so you know what's best for you.
Hmm that will be a problem then because this was 2 years ago :-/
Really I have never heard that grades could be erased that sounds awesome I'm going to look into that. Thanks!
Seems to me like the chances of getting into a nursing school are slim to none with my 9 withdrawals and 5 Fs (and the Fs were there because I didn't attend class). I seriously messed up at my community college I now have a daughter and I am enrolled in a four year school. I'm doing well and I'm getting all A's. I am a CNA and I would really love to pursue a BSN in nursing. It just really sucks that I didn't take school seriously when I should have now I am paying for the consequences :-/. I am considering the LPN-RN bridge I feel that will help my situation a little to get my foot in the door at least. Has anyone been through this and has actually gotten into a nursing program? Any advice? Thanks
Thank you all for the input :-) now the hard part I guess will be the job search!
I was at the clinic today and I spoke to a girl who was an LPN and me and her got into a conversation about how she went about becoming an LPN. I shared with her that I was going to take a CNA course that was going to be free. She went ahead and said "why? Just go for nursing". Then I went to get my blood drawn by the phlebotomist and she told me she was a medical assistant with training in phlebotomy and I asked her if she thought going for CNA was worth it and she went on a rant. " why would you want to wipe someone's ass? You aren't going to work in a hospital you will work in a nursing home". This made me feel kind of dumb for even thinking of doing CNA but I will take the course and complete it just to say I started from the bottom I guess. I felt that there was so much negativity towards becoming a CNA but I think becoming a CNA will test me to see if I really want this. Any advice? Do you regret becoming a CNA? Has it helped you become a better nurse? Person? Any input will be great thanks!
Is this program accredited?
Hi do you guys know if the program is accredited by the nln?
Hello there I was interested in the program at hostos and would like some advice on what to study and what exams the require for you to take before you are even considered for the program please and thank you
Oo ok thank you very much for clearing that up for me!
Hello all I have read from another thread that the LPN program at Hostos is not accredited. What does this mean? I thought that most certificate programs would most likely be credited no? Because what would be the point of their program would you be able to get a job if it wasn't accredited?I don't know I'm just a little confused and if someone has done the LPN at hostos can you please give me some insight on how was your experience and/or if you had trouble finding a bridge program because of accreditation problems? eventually I want to do a bridge program and I would like to avoid any accreditation problems Plus I also would like to know what to look for accreditation wise in the programs and a rn program I would like to be a travel nurse thanks guys!
