HI everyone! the first time I took my test, I had worked as unlicensed pending in the LTC, then my employer gave me a week off before my first test. I studied until I dropped then next thing you know I started feeling sick on a saturday and I couldn't reschedule my test, cuz my test was that coming monday, so i took it anyway while sick and as a result, I failed.
Now that I'm taking it for the second time, I am very nervous and I'm not sure what to study. Can someone please give me some ideas on how to pass this nclex pn. Also I heard that there are now new tests that comes in "fill in the blank" or "point to the graph"? oh boy...
Hi I just took the NCLEXPN today, and today was my second time taking it, the first time I had about 87 questions and didnt pass, well I felt the same way nervous, dont know were to start I know the hurst review is for RNs But I took my chances and took it (hoping the scope of practice wouldnt mess me up) well I actually dont know my results Im in California so it will be a long 2 weeks, but I did lots of practice questions from the Saunders Comprehensive Review and the blue Q&A book, I tried to do a hundred a but I did as much as I could reading the rationals and knowing why really helped, well I just say study do the questions if you can do the hurst review, and pray. Right now I feel like I answered more right than wrong, Im alittle scared because maybe my questions wasnt higher level questions......I dont know is it alittle wierd to feel happy than worried? But about the fill int he blanks I had 3, It was all math mostly your D/H *Q and how to measure the TURP output and I had one select all that apply which was on CVA, what I can tell you now is dont overlook anything, the first time I didnt review my fundamentals mostly on the D/Os and I got hit with a lot of culture questions like Jewish, Islams, Muslims when are you going to take your test? well I wish you the best of luck, try to relax! Youve been there so just use it as your advantage!

I haven't been informed about the HURST review, can someone explain to me how i can get that review?
Go to www.hurstreview.com and you can get the online review its kinda price i forget how much alittle over 200, its for RNs but it really helps or they have a live review in california i just got the packet in the mail so i dont have enough time to attend, its called Lifesavers and they have one for PN's the web site is www.lifesavers-nursereview.com or there number is 909-464-9719 i dont know what part of california your from but they do reviews in LA, San Diego and San Francisco....hope it helps

A lot of people that I have talked to that have passed NCLEX have said that they had at least 1 or 2 of the "new format" type questions, such as the select all that apply. I am wondering, is there anyone who has taken NCLEX recently & passed, but did not get any new format questions?
I know someone who got 2 of those, but failed the test. She thinks she must have been doing well (since she got those type of questions), then thinks she started doing poorly after those questions. Are they a predictor of pass/fail?
Someone also told me that she thought I failed (before I knew my actual results) because I did not get any of those questions on my test. I did fail.
Not true Im in CAlifornia, I got one of those questions and failed. I retest next wednesday Im scared, but when do you retest?
