HI! If someone took the boards and licensed in Colorado, how do they transfer it to Maryland? My husband's ex-wife hasn't ever worked, so she's never paid child support--claimed she was trying to get her ASN and pass her boards. Well, now that she's passed her boards, she took them to get a license in a state where she doesn't even live!!! She's making it sound like did it by accident, and now she can't work in Maryland because she can't get a license there without flying to Colorado, and she can't afford to do that, so she can't pay child support. Oh, and Colorado and Maryland are non-compact states (at least they are according to her).

BTW, I am a real member of this community--I joined when I was a nursing student, it just so happens his ex just got her license, too, and I know I can rely on accurate info here....I'm posting this on a couple of boards because I don't know where I'll find someone who can answer...thanks for listening!

Anyone know if there are part time positions at Spring Grove in Catonsville? I have a classmate who's a bit wacky, and she's 35 and never had a job, and frankly has very few functional skills (never lived on her own without a boyfriend supporting her--her parents currently pay all her bills). She wants to go into psych (only class she got a B in), and wants to work at Spring Grove Hospital, but says she only wants to work part time, because she "doesn't want to burn out"...I don't think there are part time positions there, but I told her I'd try to find out (she doesn't want to call and give her name--I don't know why)...so if anyone knows if there are part time positions there, let me know, so I can help this poor girl...I'm starting to think it would be more help to let her do it herself, since it seems she hasn't done much for herself in her life, and she'll need to be a lot more self-sufficient in the work world, especially in psych! She'll need insurance benefits (assumably), so I doubt there are great benefits for part time work of that sort, too....so any info would help. I'm thinking of finding out for her but also helping to walk her through it herself.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there!

Prof Gorski is wonderful--you will KNOW YOUR STUFF when you're done! She's actually very approachable, in spite of her first impression of being a bit of a hard@$$...I really liked her.

You must MUST stay on top of your reading...and write in the margins of your outline when she gives you extra info--I used to go home and retype the outline with the extra info--yup, retyped it all. It helped.

I don't check this board much--I have since moved to Missouri and my education is on hold indefinitely--4 kids is enough for now, but I finished all my prerecs...

I'll try to pop in once a week--hopefully you'll have good news on your progress, and if you have any other Q, I'll try my best to help!

    Best of luck to you!

P.S. Who do you have (or did you have) for your other classes? Micro?
