Recovery is a life long journey. You have to do what you feel is right in your heart. Honesty is part of maintaining sobriety. God bless you and I’m glad you are getting the help you need.
  3. Drop your monthly testing average here please.

Lately, I have been tested weekly. I am not sure why the increase in frequency. I have 6 months remaining on my 5 year contract, however recovery for me is lifelong. I am OK with that, I’m just over all the testing.
  4. Needing surgery in Recovery

  5. RNs Told They are Equal to MAs

I work in an Urgent Care Clinic. We have one MA and two RN's. We all have the same job. To take care of the patients. We all roatate from front to back. We work as a team. *This is my first RN position outside of ICU in 23 years!

Hi. It's ok to cry. I cried too. It's a process, however, there is a solution and you don't have to live like you have been any more. Try to be patient, and you will get through it. The self reporting is first and the evaluation is second. You will h...

What's the policy number? I find it hard to believe that an RN who tests positive for THC, legal or not wouldn't be terminated and/or reported! Been there, done that.

  9. Is this reasonable or just over the top?

This scene has been going on for several years! You will get used to it. I really didn't like it when it first rolled out, but unfortunately or fortunately it's all about patient satisfaction!
  10. Should drug diverters be prosecuted?

You obviously know nothing about the disease of addiction!

  12. Certified addict nurse able to report nurse patient?

That's why we have Hippa, isn't it???i I wouldn't think she would be able to report this. Wouldn't that be a hippa violation???
  13. what to do now

Hi. Why did you surrender your licenses? I have been unemployed for 3 months, while I wait for IPN stipulations. I already know I am being recommended for inpatient treatment. In the meantime, I'm staying clean, going to NA and working the steps. I...
  14. AA sheet audited?

My first monitoring program was a joke! I was in complete denial and I loathed going to NA/AA meetings! Well, much has changed, I hit rock bottom in March, and admitted myself to inpatient therapy because I was scared and realized I needed help. I ...
  15. Inpatient treatment

This will be my 2nd monitoring program. Has anyone been recommended to inpatient treatment as part of their IPN eval? I recently received inpatient treatment, but relapsed. I just think this is a bit much??
