Hello all:

I was curious in your particular program how many 12 step meetings are you required to attend? Do you guys get anything from them or have they helped you? How do you report these meetings to your monitoring program?

I have to attend three meetings a week but my nurse support meeting counts as one. I don't really get much from these meeting but I've met some very nice people there. I report via an attendance sheet which I send to my case manager once a month. I'll admit that I've been tempted to simply fill out the sheet and send it in as I don't think the signatures can be verified one way or another with any reliability. I don't do it from pure cowardice as I'm afraid to get caught. Is anybody else at least tempted to simply fill out this sheet & turn it in or to get others to simply sign it for you?

One more question. Has any of you heard of anybody getting caught turning in false meeting lists?

I am sentenced to 2 others beyond the nurse support group and the one non 12 step one that I opt to count. I have traditionally gone to the same "clubhouse" sort of affair that seems to hold AA meetings all day, every day. It was a straight shot down the road from the homestead and the easiest to to just get in and get out with the least pain (mental, physical and otherwise). Since there is now a lot of construction that has created some detours between that place and me, I researched and found that there are few of these things within walking distance of the house. Even better. I can go, make it the time I can barely tolerate, leave, walk/run back and get my cardio in for the day. Win/win.

I've not yet tried these new ones. I just hope that they are big enough that I can hide in the back. We shall see....

I had a few places around town where I'd go once or twice weekly. I would also attend online meetings on InTheRooms. I did have to log in on Affinity, but I was never questioned.

Yup, that's it for the site. I haven't been there in a while, but as far as I know they're still there.
