Hello everyone.
I am completing the documents for AGOS 40 and i have a question. I am a RN, RM here in philippines, should I include my qualification details and documents for my registration under midwifery (license, cogs for midwifery, board cert) or should i just provide those that are related to nursing only? Thank you in advance. :-)
Hello Fellow Nurses,Can I clarify if this is applicable to overseas nurses or intended for Australian nurses:
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)
You are required to participate in a minimum of 20 hours of CPD annually, per profession, relevant to your context of practice. Additional requirements apply if you have an endorsement for scheduled medicines or as a nurse practitioner. You must keep evidence of your participation.
Thank you for your input!
Hello. About AHPRA's CPD Registration Standard:
1. "When you apply for registration, you don't need to meet this standard when you apply for registration in Australia as a nurse and/or midwife."
2. "At renewal of registration, when you apply to renew your registration/endorsement, you are required to declare that you have complied with this standard."

As far as I know, if you are applying as RN, then you just have to submit information related to you being RN since AHPRA is going to assess you if you are suitable for RN registration. However, you can state that detail (RM) in your CV.

Thank you paul_rn. I have another question though and i hope you can help me with this. I have no idea where i should go for the the translation of documents that are in arabic. Do you know where in manila i can go to for the translation which is also approved by ahpra? if you happen to know one, do you have any idea how much it would cost? :)

When I had mine translated before, it was in the Office of muslim affairs, but that's in davao though. but my friend had his translated in manila, my other friend went to DFA and had it translated but that was 3 years ago.
I hope DFA still do the translation of documents. I will search on their website if they still offer the same service. Thanks a lot danika0528.

if not try the office of muslim affairs, I am sure they have someone to translate your documents there. And I believe australia will accept it since it is a philippines government office. What do you need it for? do we need to submit our saudi council board certificate as well?
Hi danika0528, i was planning to have the saudi council board cert translated. I also have certificates like the BLS training and the cert awarded to me that some of the wordings are in Arabic. Should I include those certificates for submission to ahpra or no need? I just worry because I included those details in my CV. I'm not sure though if it has bearing at all for my application. :)

My certificates were all in English. I did not submit my saudi council certificate but it's up to you, but just to be sure just submit it. I just sent them my documents 4 days ago. I only asked saudi council for them to send my certificate of good standing. My registration is expired anyway. I am also a nurse here in the UK but we don't have board certificate so I think they're not really asking for it, what they're after is the verification from the nursing body, I hope. :)
