Was assessed Jan. 8 - got my referral letter today. got confused because the first attachment states that I have been refused for registration... although my BSN is assessed as AQN 7... I did not satisfy IQNM 2,3,6, and 8... and then the 2nd attachment is the referral letter... then the 3rd attachment has the "common questions asked"... One states that even after completing the bridging course... it does not assure you registration unless you satisfy the AHPRA board... since the IQNM 2,3,6 and 8 are a thing of the past... required while doing the nursing course... does this mean that even if I complete the bridging course... I will not be registered because I cannot satisfy the IQNM 2,3,6 and 8?

Please be advised that the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (the Board) has determined that your qualification is not equivalent to a Bachelor degree under the Australian Qualification Framework. As per the information contained in the referral to a National Board-approved bridging program, In order to be eligible for registration as a registered nurse in Australia, you are required to successfully complete a National Board-approved bridging program within twelve (12) months of the date of the letter.
Please note that there is no need to provide documentation to the Board for Criteria 2, 3, 6 and 8.
Submissions in response to the Board's proposal to refuse registration should provide new evidence, previously not considered by the Board, that indicates that your qualification/s is equivalent to a Bachelor degree under the Australia Qualification Framework. If you have accepted the Board's proposal and plan to undertake a bridging program then there is no requirements to make a submission to the Board.

Hi purply20. Mine was reviewed last jan 8 too and i got my loe last friday. I think yours will come soon. :) where and when do u plan to take ur bridging course?
Hopefully, I'm eyeing for IHNA March Intake but with the delay of the receipt of my LOE, I'm not sure I could make it with the visa processing and all. How about you?
Hi Jotdi,My provider MCIE/ Wimmera have a program running on the 5th of June, if you are interested.
I have heard La Trobe have cancelled their June intake.....you may want to confirm that.
Good Luck :)
Hello! I have received an offer letter from LA Trobe for June intake but I have not accepted it yet. so I was really concerned when I read your post. May i know where you have heard this news about them cancelling the June intake? Thank you so much!
So far there has been nothing official on LaTrobe's website (Feb 9 2015) regarding the cancellation. Interested parties are better off asking in person unless an official response can be relayed in the forums.
FAQs for future students, La Trobe University
Although keep in mind that a certain minimum of students are required for the program to run.
@purply: we'll hope for the best. I am looking forward to having classmates for the IRON program.
SOS! what schools would you recommend and why?To those who applied in ACN... is there a need for the police check before applying or it will be done when we reach there?
I'm overwhelmed by too many information... sorry...
Hi! Yes, you need to have a police check through the AFP, and complete all other requirements (immunizations, etc) before submitting an application to ACN.
