Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Published

Hi om'sarah! Are you also in Sydney? I passed my application to AHPRA VIC hoping it will be processed faster since its their HQ. I'm starting to think I made a costly mistake, I still haven't received any message from my case officer. Anyway, I'm also thinking of ways to meet their new criteria, especially criterion 3. Thanks for mentioning PAASCU. I will definately try that path. Would you be kind enough to send me the form your case officer provided? I will surely appreciate it. Cheers. ?

PAASCU and PACUCOA are both accreditating bodies. It depends on your school in which institution did they applied for accreditation.

I'm going to PACUCOA on Tuesday since they are not answering my email and no one is answering their phone.

hi, i have been reading the thread for weeks now as I have lodged my application midweek february in victoria and it has only been this week that i have read about the new criterion. i am still here in melbourne and i have been collating the requirements i need to have when i get back next week in manila. Regarding criterion 4, does it mean that if we are able to provide the accreditation/s they are asking, bridging program is not necessary as it is equivalent to the AQF Level 7?

@om sarah, kindly send me also the copy of AHPRA endorsement letter and the format letters for educational institution and accreditation body. it will really be appreciated. :) My email is [email protected] Thanks in advance.

@aui24k just sent mail to you, regarding the new model of assessment, im just thinking about it as well, if AHPRA will assess our application equivalent to AQF level 7, what will happen?

Thanks again for the email. :)

we'll have to wait for their instructions as it is just revised february. I just hope that our school was ched and paascu accredited. If BP is not necessary if proven that school/degree is equivalent to AQF 7, hopefully we can save the 15000aud and no more additional studies.

It is not stated (or maybe i havent read everything yet) what happens if proven that school/degree is equivalent to aqf 7. What is clear to me is that if it is aqf 6, it is refused but bridging can be offered.
