Exactly. But not all nurses who went to the bridging program are like her.

In addition, a newly hired nurse should get the proper support she needs from the employer and colleagues. Needed to be orientated properly because the setup is entirely different from what we used to, new policies, new environment, new workmates, different country, all the adjustments and pressure.. It is really hard to be in our shoes. Well in my case.. I am happy that my colleagues know where I am coming from. :)

I have given instructions on where to find this information in the last few lines see how our education is so different?[/quote']

That's why I asked for a link because I can't find it at the NMBA site. And how exactly did you come up to a conclusion that our education is different?

Look for Nurse Registration link

Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Updates/Communications from Nursing Board meetings found under Nursing and Midwifery news link. Check the General Communiqués for policy changes.

I highly recommend that AN members seek out answers by searching and reading all information published on board of nursing websites. As educated nursing professionals your expected to look for information, not just have it supplied to you as many persons posting at allnurses seem to expect--- same issue I face as home care Manager with my staff: try to problem solve by looking info up, tell me what research you've done, then I'll give you advice.

A quick check of their website, found newsletter with info regarding English Language standards:

Nursing and Midwifery Board Newsletter July 2013

Looks like they changed the link, go to ANMAC. And look for registration standards for overseas nurses.
