Getting nursing registration, follow this thread from the start are the best instructions. Finding work and having the right to remain working in Australia is another thing as many nurses born and raised in Australia are struggling to find work, some with no experience, others have years of experience.

Overseas nurses that cannot find work are returning home in greater numbers every week.

Do not take out loans to complete the bridging program is the best advice I can give.

As Ceridwyn has said, be aware that people are finding it harder to find jobs, especially sponsored positions. On my final uni placement last week, there were about 6 BP students. From what I gathered after talking with one of them, they only had a month left and so far were having no luck in finding a job. This is a reality & the NUM of the ward said that less sponsored positions were being offered.

Hi Mopples. Are these BP students on student visas or subclass 456/600? Because if they are still on BP, it is really impossible for them to get a job. Employers would still prefer someone who have their registrations already. What you said is true, even in our batch. Some of my classmates are going back to their home countries already..

What Mopples means is that none of the BP students has had any indication/interest from an employer

to come back after completing their course and apply.

There was a time when BP applicants were posting they were told that they had a job if they applied when they had finished and had

I think, it is a case to case basis. After my Bridging Program, I also tried applying for jobs although at the back of my mind, I expect to receive reject letters because I haven't received my registration yet. However, when I went back to the Philippines after the BP, I received an invitation for interview. So I went back to Australia after 2 weeks to attend to my scheduled interview. During my conversation with the NUM, I noticed that she was holding the curriculum vitae, which I am very sure, it was the CV I used to submit during the time when I am not yet registered. So what I did is just gave her another copy of my updated CV and of course, my registration certificate.

so here's my story. I'm an immigrant in the US and I will be taking the NCLEX but I did not take the PNLE. I want to migrate to Australia for some private reason but the problem is my parents won't allow me. My plan is that after passing the NCLEX, I will work so that I can save money to sponsor myself for the bridging program. My question is that is passing the NCLEX and work experience in the US enough or I should pass the PNLE and work in the Philippines first?
