hi! i am quite nervous since it is my first time to travel abroad. can someone help me how to find good accomodation in perth and how did you travel from airport to your place? did you hire a airport transport?
JUST GOOGLE it on the internet...there are lots of cheap places around or try to contact a fellow BP takers and share a flat with them...there are a lot of students here that would love to share flat in order to save extra money....with regards to travelling I am pretty sure there will be a representative from your school that will meet you in the airport and will accompany you to your place...I AM NOT REALLY SURE ABOUT THIS...but when my friend arrived in the airport someone from the school was waiting for them....not unless you processed your application on your own...
hi guys hope somebody who finished his BP at ETEA would be able to help me. i have + ppd but normal chest result. my doctor said that it expected to have + as we are healthcare providers and very much exposed to tb patients. now my question is, would I be having any problems with ETEA if i show + ppd?
I AM POSITIVE THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEM...your doctor is right. PPD only test if you are exposed it does not test you if you are INFECTED...I am sure ETEA have a clear understanding on this...if you are still in doubt ask your doctor to give you a SPUTUM GS/CS test...and if your positive with that then you have a MAJOR PROBLEM...goodluck!!
i processed mine by myself. i am for ihna october intake. there is a payment for airport pick up. i already did google accomodations, i am just afraid that they might be scam. ill try sharing with fellow nurses. tnx a lot
GOOD FOR YOU IN PROCESSING IT ON YOUR OWN. yes, it is very troublesome in looking for an accommodation overseas...I thought IHNA had an accommodation for their student (not really sure) my bet is look for a fellow nurse much safer...good luck on your BP
Hey frozenfire24. You replied to my message in the previous thread. AHPRA already emailed me a notification that they already have my papers and will review it before it will be assessed for commencement. I waited about six days after my papers have reached AHPRA Vic. I made an inquiry yesterday asking how long it will take for an application to be processed and according to the Customer Service Officer that promptly replied to me, it usually takes 4 - 6 weeks, given that my papers are complete.

GOOD FOR YOU!! I'll be crossing my fingers for a positive outcome
As far as I know AND I HAVE READ IT SOMEWHERE HERE...if you started your BP before your LOE expires its OK...and a friend of mine finished his BP in under 2 mos so just be sure you are in January 2013 BP and just work as hard as you could in finishing your BP...GOODLUCK!!
Thanks @frozenfire.
I actually tried contacting AHPRA to ask if I can have it extended even for 1 month because at first, I applied for La Trobe (but they offer it January and 13 weeks)..
A certain case officer in AHPRA told me that I have to write them a letter that I would like to withdraw my application and then, repeat the whole process of applying AGAIN since I "might" not finish the BP before the expiry date. That made me really feel sad and bad thinking why I have to write them withdrawal letter and then apply again instead of writing them a letter to extend it together with a proof of my COE etc.. They never replied to me back.
Anyways, I was able to find IHNA January 7 intake. I am just waiting for their confirmation after I submitted my docs and after I passed the interview/exam. They offer 10-12 weeks program, so I'm happy that I could finish based on my calculations. Thank you very much!..
