Medsurg text or reference book

Can anyone recommend a good med surg book that is easy to understand . I am repeating Medsurg this fall . Its a five credit class and everything is crammed . I really need a good book , that will help me to understand the concepts and apply it . Any help u give will be greatly appreciated . Oh if any one has good notes that will be appreciated too.

Saunders is broken down into chapters, like Renal and Urinary Disorders, or Gastrointestinal Disorders for example. Just go to the chapter you are studying in Med Surge. It is really a great resource and breaks down very concisely exactly what you are learning in lecture. It also references the IGGY book that many of us use for Med Surge. It is more valuable than your textbook, seriously.

I love the med surg book by Lewis, Heitkemper & Dirkson !!! Lots of good info & thorough - I graduated 6 years ago and still use it :)

I also like Manual of Medical-Surgical Nursing Care - Its a nice little book you can also take to clinicals. I got it from my school library but liked it so much I plan to buy one for myself to keep with me when I start working. Nice breakdown of the diseases with nursing interventions, assessments, complications, etc in a few pages.

Brunner and Suddarth's textbook of med-surg nursing!!!

I used medical surgical nursing by Patient-Centered Collaborative Care by Donna D. Ignatavicius and M. Linda . I wanted supplemental text to use. I have been trying to study over the summer so that I can get ahead of the class. Thanks for all ur help.

I also am using this book and it's great....It also comes with a study guide (bought separately) and a clinical component book to use in the clinical setting. Very good book to have!
