Hey!
I decided to start a page for new grads applying to the Medstar Georgetown Nurse Residency for February 2021.
So got an offer from MedStar Washington in the ER. Have an interview with MedStar Georgetown in mid February so not sure what to do!
another hospital is my first choice and I should hear from them this week but one of this two is definitely my second choice! Would love any advice y’all have.

Just be personable and prepare for those situation based questions. It was only a 15 min call. They ask about my background, why I chose nursing, and then 3 situation based questions. And be sure you have a couple questions to ask them at the end. You got this!!
How long after interviewing did you hear back?

I heard GT takes all the applications and then separates them based on what units the applicant wants. Sounds like the tedious process so I think it may take a while. Hopefully we hear back soon!
Have you interviewed for GT?
I ended up accepting outside of DC. Makes me sad to not be in the city but I got a really good offer in another city. It is a trauma ER fellowship at a level 1 that prepares you like no other.
And yes, Medstar (all in the area) are pretty low pay compared to the cost of living. I am making the same amount at the other job that is in a city with a lower cost of living.

Yes, I plan on living outside of D.C. though

She said she will email me everything 'in a couple weeks'. Is anyone waiting on the onboarding documents also? I wonder why they have to wait for so long.
Yeah same here. Maybe they’re still hiring?
