MedLife Institute

Updated:   Published

Hello All!

I recently gained some information about Med Life institute. They are an LPN-RN school (with other nursing programs as well) located in Florida which offers an online/blended format way to earn your RN. After speaking to the representative she told me you come to FL for a week take some tests and exams to begin classes then do the rest online. The clinical portion is held in New Jersey at an affiliated hospital then at the end of the program you come back to take some more tests and exit exam. The total program runs about 9 months

I checked the Florida BON and saw that the school is legit and you can test for you NCLEX RN after passing the courses. This blended format is new however with the first class beginning in August of this year. I was wondering if:

A. Anyone has any experience with MedLife

B. Anyone in in the August blended class

C. Anyone is in the midst of applying to the January 18 class like myself?

Thanks In Advance to ALL responses.

Med-Life Institute in Kissimmee offers two programs. One is accredited, the other is not and neither has as passage rate above 50 percent. Med-Life representatives told 9 Investigates that the rating is based on a student's first attempt at the license test and that it offers free tutoring to students in need of extra assistance.”

Please reconsider- this is a low-quality, high priced, school with a TERRIBLE NCLEX pass rate- and their lack of accreditation will leave you without transferable credit.

Do you know of any other schools that are online? What schools did you attend? Cause these days most schools are expensive, have you heard of Florida college of health science?

You will not find a 100% online prelicensure program. There are hybrid programs, but I would encourage you to look at several resources other than just choosing a program for your convenience- what is the NCLEX pass rate? Is it ACEN or CCNE accredited? Is the tuition reasonable?

You may find that the best thing for you longterm is to attend a reputable program that may require in person classes and even have a wait list- those programs have a wait list for a reason.

Hello, Im actually beginning on the 8th I will keep you updated

Thank You for yur opinion. People said the same abut my LPN program but I was able t succeed in it. I talked to the FL BON and the school is accredited also to my home state BON (PA) who said I can get a license with them thru endorsement and also a BSN program Western Governors who will take their credits.

I tried calling the school thi past week and no one answered the phone. When does the next semester start? And did it take a while for you to enroll and how many classes do you have to take?

My gf also went there in 2016, at that time she had to go down to Florida for a week every month

They are closed until the 2nd due to the holiday my admission counselors were very god at explaining and expediting me thru the process. Its 13 classes and the program takes ten months its broken down into 4 terms. The next semester begins 1/8

The hybrid portion that I am in has us go down the first week of classes and the last week of the program for testing in the mean time our work is done online through CANVAS and clinical are in DE or NJ or you have the option of picking your own site.
