Has anyone attended this school? It is approved and licensed by the nursing board of fl but not accredited. And I will be eligible to take my NCLEX at the end of the program. Will the fact that it is not accredited pose problems for me later on as far as further schooling and job placement. My goal is eventually becoming an NP. I have a BA in another field and this RN program completes in 13 months. I have an appointment next Tuesday at the school so I will ask questions, but I'd like opinions if anyone has attended or graduated for there. Thanks in advance!

i have been in the online class , the first one. It was rocky at first but now it pretty good. It is a very hard program but i am learning a lot. When i started i wasn't very organized and i thought i could work a lot and just get by but they make you work hard, the teachers are very strict, i just hope i make it.

That's great .. I'm sure you'll be fine just stick to it!!! So is it structured with deadlines .. Or they just give u info and u study on your own??? How are the clinical have u started them yet!!

Hello .. How would u rate the experience in MPI?? Gonna do the bridge program ..?? Getting. Mixed reviews but most likely doing it.. Ant pointers how where clinicals and the teachers Are ?? Thanks for your time

experience rate good, not that bad I just finish my 1st class starting my second next week ,is not easy but you can do it .

Well I have been in since Jan of 2014. Had to repeat Pharmacology and currently in Med Surg.

I am going to w/d for a while as I am having money issues with the school and I can't attend school until its resolved. A little disappointed about how it was handled and I am a little bit aggravated at the school right now.

As far as the curriculum, its hard as I was a A/B student and if I get anything over a 70 I am happy. I wish they had better clinical sites as they are all nursing homes. I am not an LPN so I don't have the clinical skills and I would have liked to have experienced a hospital setting. Maybe after they get accreditation, they will be able to get other sites.

I plan to go back to work and transfer to the online program. It'll take me a lot longer, but since I paid for it, its harder for me to start over somewhere else and have to pay all that money again and since they are STILL not accredited, I can't transfer my credits so basically I am stuck. I just want to pass the NCLEX and figure out my BSN later.

Oh wow sorry to hear about it.. I know its not fun to hear .. I'm already an lpn and start in March .. It's alot of money I've already put down so can't turn back now .. Lol where u doing classes online .. Or coming to campus??

I'm doing it online .. But have the lpn experience .. Hoping it won't kick my butt .. Plus having to work

I did not have a good experience with MPI - Maybe it has gotten better but it was a borderline scam when I attended in 2012. Some people did graduate and were able to sit for boards but it is was not organized, professional, the curriculum was outdated, and test question were pulled from dubious sources around the internet that could be readily found after testing.

Going into the program everything looked ok, but it gets worse as you go and they push for low completion / graduation rates so they can hand select who goes for boards. You don't necessarily get to take your boards when your graduate, there are more fees, classes, tests. I say spend the extra money for a accredited school that really wants to produce nurses and not just produce profits

MEDICAL PREP INSTITUTE OF TAMPA BAY is now fully accredited.

The school is a scam. They lie about accreditation and fees. They give selected students answers. This is a waste of money and thats all they want thats why no financial aid. You will not able to work as a RN other than a nursing home and thats just because the facility desperate. People have graduated and dont have job or transfer because of accreditation. Stay Away Please so much people has been duke by this school. Visit ripoffreport.com and read complaint. Any good feed back you get when you google this school was written by admission, staff, students and so forth.. Ask anyone there. Also the school building use to be a Dollar Tree so that should tell you everything

Thats from a little nonprofit organization. That accreditation is not from the Florida board of Nursing. Dont be fool by people hired to trick you into attending this school. Shame on you. This accreditation is worthless

Hello I wanted to ask about the entrance exam for the Lpn to Rn program , if anyone has any information about what exactly we need to focus to study for the entrance exam requirements??
