Medical City Healthcare Nurse Residency Summer 2023

Hi there I was looking to connect with people who will be interviewing/attending the new grad bash and keep up to date with each other throughout the process!

*I hadn't seen one for 2023 Summer cohort yet so I figured I would make a post*

Hi! Attended the bash today and interviewed for L&D. Did anyone get any offers??

How was the interview? I attend the bash next week! I'm just nervous for how things will be I guess since it's a short interview?

Really fast paced! Honestly, easy questions. I only got asked three which was crazy. What are you interviewing for?

Women's services! I want NICU it's my top but I kept nursey and L&D as well. What location did you interview for?

What questions did they ask you if you don't mind me asking?

Definitely go over situational questions! I searched on YouTube for videos like crazy like "NICU Nurse Interview tips" especially click on the new grads one!

Do you guys know anyone that work at medical city children's? If so how do they like it?

I do. I spoke to a lot of people before applying and they all loved it. Medical City women's services department and Medical City Childrens were described as a different world from Medical City.. if you know what I mean. Something a recruiter told me was "it comes down to what you really want, specialty or hospital.”

Hey everyone, I currently work at Med City Dallas in the ICU. I will be changing specialties to L&D starting in May. I am going through the residency again, wondering if anyone else has accepted an offer for L&D too!?! 
Also saw someone asking about how Med City children's/women's is, just from one shift I did on L&D I can tell you yes it is a completely different world than at least MC Dallas (definitely in a good way). Pretty crazy seeing as it's all the same "hospital" LOL
