Medical Assistant jobs?

Published

Anyone know of anywhere other than my local paper with medical jobs? I spent 7k to take a medical assistant course (I know to much) about 10 yrs ago and no one will hire me without the experience (how do I get it then) just wondering if there is a special place I can look to keep submitting my resume, I hate all these odd ball jobs, I want to work in the medical field and it would give me more ambition? to keep going in nursing school. Just wondering. Thanks.

I know my cousin got a job a few months ago. I think sometimes it is who you know, not what. It doesnt sound fair, but I think that is how she did it.

Yh, its that way for everything. Unfortuantly, I dont know anyone. Couldn't become a cop because of that reason either so I went into to nursing. Hmmm..ok thanks.

You can try going to Free Clinics. I know in my area they higher MA's off the street at a Free Clinic in the next town. They have a high turn around rate due to the clients they work with. I do not see why you need experience as an MA. You got to start some where, and you did go to school! I do not know what else to suggest.

Thats what I cant understand. I see some ads that say M.A. certification not required but experience is, yh ok. Still trying to figure it out after 8 plus years.

Specializes in med/surg/tele/neuro/rehab/corrections.

Try Googling all your local Hospitals. They all have websites. Then click around to find jobs listed. Sometimes it is listed under 'careers" Whenever I have done that I have seen many many jobs available for MA's. Apply for them even if they say exp preferred. You never know. Doesn't hurt to try.
