1. difficulty initiating urinary stream
2. surgical resection of the vas deferens
3. enlargement of breast in male
4. transurethral resection of prostate
5. prolonged erection not related to sexual stimualation
6. surgically made opening for urethra
7. vaginal bleeding between menstrual periods
8. downward displacement of the urethra into the vagina
9. downward displacement of the bladder into the vagina
10. involunatry painful straining
I can not find the terms for these anywhere
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Does anyone know of any Med-Term websites where you can type in a difinition and get the term?
Thanks in Advance,

There is an excellend book out that I suggest that you purchase. It is called the "Language of Medicine." It will help you considerably with questions of this type.

Sorry but this is all I can think of right now. My brain is still fried and break is over at the end of this week. Do you have a Taber's? Try using that.

In the meantime, you can try googling the definitions. It may help for a few of them. Get Taber's too when you get a chance!!!
Good Luck.
I'll give you #1: Urinary Hesitancy...simple enough!!

Mel: hope that helps some, hope I didn't lead you astray.
If really stuck, know any docs you can talk to, many are more than
willing to help out a student.
Mike
P.S. the prefix "dys" may not be right, without looking it up, my SN daughter has my old books, may mean pain, or painful??? Not sure.
Good luck Mike

The medical term for male is either male or the symbol of a circle with an arrow pointing out from it.
