Can anyone help me out with this MED SURG II. Is there any websites or books out there to help me pass these test. Do anyone have the test bank for LEWIS MED SURG BOOK? This class is no joke I invested to much of my own money to fail, PLEASE HELP!!!

I do practice test on evolve, nclex practice questions along with reading the chapter over hours a day into study time with a break I passing mos t of test but barely. I am not use to making these grades, putting in all these hours.

O.k. thanks for the information, but I am good in clinical of the floor, just not a good test taker!!

Specializes in Hospice.

I don't do as well on tests when I spend all that time reading the chapters. I attend all lectures, read and hand write the power points, read chapter summaries and anything I need more info on, do all the practice questions in the chapters, do all the online resources that come with the text books, practice NCLEX questions using apps, and I haven't failed a test yet. The lowest test grade I got in psych this summer was when I spent days reading all the chapters! Normally I would advocate for reading the chapters but it just isn't working for me to do that. But, I more than make up for it with the other things. Wishing you the best!

O.k. thanks for the information, but I am good in clinicals on the floor, just not a good test taker!! You have those that Ace the test the whole semester:blackeye:, those are the one you should be scared of. But I am not the one:yes:

Everyone has there own way of studying but what helps me the most is number one attend every single lecture, I read the power points, and skim the text book for what information I feel is most important. I used to read every single word of every single chapter and it consumed most of my life and I was not seeing the results on my test. I focus on disease processes, how to care for the patient with that particular problem, and patient teaching. Out med surg book has some great charts I rewrite those for meds and labs it really helps. I hope this helps you as it has me.

O.K. I might don't need the test bank just desperate don't need to fail I have too much money to loss. I read the chapters, do practice questions on evolve, nclex questions when Med Surg clinical book. What can I change, it seems like I know the information, but a lot of time the stuff I study majority of it is not on the test. Then what resources I go to?

Thanks, Whats a good way to study I put the hours in reading & doing practice questions barely passing some test, but the hours I put in I want a better grade.

Thanks, I am doing that and barely passing some test but on border line of failing. Just not a good test taker, but great on the floor know my job and know it well but it won't help me get my license!!

Thanks just started this but so many manifestations to remember, how can I figure out a way to remember all those?

I have that book & do practice questions also with the HESI, nclex practice, Med Surgical clinical book, & evolve website along with CD'S in back of all books. Plus read chapter & lectures I need HELP!!!!

I usually hand write outlines (notes from textbook, power points, and class combined). I start by writing about the patho risk factors then start with assessments, interventions ect. I have med surg success, study guide that came with my book, lippincotts alternate formate, pda lacharity, saunders nclex and a couple of others. I try to do over 500 plus questions per test. If you can't get the books you can also find nclex style questions online (nurselabs, *******, amy47) or on other sites just by googling topics you are studying. Test banks are a big no-no! You can get kicked out of your program. Go to tutoring or speak to your professor about ways to improve your performance. Wish you the best of luck!

I also have instilled a NO ERASE policy for myself. When I take a test I read the question rule out the wrong answers pick the one I feel is the most correct and I never look back. If i do I know I erase and change answers that most of the time I had correct in the first place. At my school we are allowed to write on the test itself if it helps underline what you think is important I have missed a few that were needs further teaching and sata because I misread the question. I also eat breakfast, try to get a good nights sleep the night before, drink plenty of water, and I get to school an hour before the test to read my notes just one more time. These helpful hints I'm passing along have helped my grade a ton.
