I hope you can help me. I am trying to locate where I can purchase an MDS Wheel. I had one at my other job in 2005 but my new facility does not have any. I have searched via the internet and cannot locate one. Don't they still exist? It's kind of like a pregnancy wheel but with this, you put the arrow on Day 1 Admit and the asmt days and grace days are indicated so you don't have to count the days on a calendar. It prevents making an error on 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, last covered day, and OMRA asmts. My software program does not have a way for me to print of a PPS Tracking Schedule. I have been getting them from Therapy but I want to stop bothering them about it and do it on my own. Please help.

I have an assessment schedule you can use. I am off today but will get it from work and email it to you tomorrow. It is great. All you do is identify the day of admission and it automatically shows you your entire schedule including grace days, etc.

I have an MDS scheduling program...you type in the admission date and it calculates out the rest. Let me know if you want a copy
To RN4Life, That would be great. Thank you.
To CapeCod, Sure but I don't want to get in any trouble for copying. Thanks,
Tammy

RN4Life and CapeCodMermaid, yes please to both!!!!::wink2: ..I just accepted a position as a RAI/MDS coordinator so I appreciate any help. I will be working in Pediatric Long term care...kinda different as I have done LTC with the elderly...while I have done MDS before, I have not coordinated the process or done assessments on kids.
THANKYOU SO MUCH...this site has so much knowledge and helpful people.....

Could you send me a copy too, please?
For the masses, where can an Asmt Wheel be purchased? Does anybody have a website? I have looked but can't find. thx
I know how difficult being an MDS Coordinator can be, so I created several MDS Scheduling Tools. I am going to give you 3 tools. One is a preprogrammed schedule for Medicare. It is a 100 day tool to help you set Medicare assessments. The second is a preprogrammed Careplan and MDS tool to be used for non-medicare residents, this tool has preprogrammed formulas to set your ARD dates, signature dates [for others interdisciplinary team members completing the MDS], RN Signature date[R2B] and RAP Completion dates [VB4]. The third is a preprogrammed tool that only has formulas for the ARD date.
I can not attach the tools because they are in excel and you can not upload excel into the message board but if you are interested in the tools than send me a personal message [DO NOT POST YOUR EMAIL INTO THE MESSAGE BOARD:nono:] and I will email the tools to you.
I would love a copy also, just to compare...I will be dealing with Medicaid only patients..how do I send private reply with my email??
