Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!
Just now, msy2 said:I just received an email and I got waitlisted. They offer waitlisted people the opportunity to keep the application active for the 2022 entering class. ?
I guess that's okay, but then we'll have to go through this entire thing next year... only benefit is that we don't have to create a new application
Maybe waitlisted people will start hearing shortly? Since deferral decisions were due today for those who were admitted in January

This is actually cruel. The entire second round was basically a waitlist. Waitlist shouldn't be a thing, I'd prefer a rejection.
I agree. A waitlist now seems to be a waitlist upon a waitlist

Honestly same. The waitlist feels like false hope. The only thing I can think of is if people deferred yesterday, maybe they’ll give us some of their spots? Do we even know how long the waitlist is? Sigh

That's what I was thinking too. Like maybe they'll start pulling people off the waitlist as early as next week? But I honestly have no faith in the CU admissions team to move quickly with this. Not sure how many people are on the waitlist, but it seems like sooooo many of us second round people got onto the waitlist. What a slap in the face.
But even then, with my self-deprecating attitude, I'm like, I wasn't admitted first round, I'm on the waitlist for the second round, and you might accept me only after the accepted people decide to defer...do you even want me in your program????
