CUSON does not care about their students and applicants. They care about the huge price tag. I have became so sickened by this school throughout this whole process to the point of pulling my application out. Yeah there’s a pandemic going on but thats no excuse either if other schools are doing good getting decisions out and not messing up anyone’s applications. CUSON is a big school with a big name but I hope everyone who applied, is going for the right reasons for yourself and not because of the name. You can become an RN at any nursing school. CUSON has dropped to the very end and crossed off my list. I would advise everyone to really and truly think about that.

I think that the same thing can be said about literally...any school. I’m sorry to hear that you and others have had a rough experience, and the reasons you are upset are 100% valid, but there’s no need to dump on the school so hard. You can leave the thread since you’ve emphasized how much you dislike the school and that you pulled out your application, like go for a walk and get some fresh air! I’ve had a lot of hiccups with other schools I’ve applied to, and it sucks but there is literally a pandemic happening, I think it’s only fair to cut these schools a little bit of slack. If you aren’t meant to go to CU that’s OKAY. And you will become a baddie nurse your own way!! And that’s amazing and awesome! There’s just no need for such negativity.

I agree with Soup, there is no need for the negativity. It sounds a bit privileged. If they are doing a holistic view on each and every applicant (over 1000) that is a lot. And I am just grateful enough that I was not rejected in the first round. The energy is being wasted talking negatively about a school. Put that energy into your new school and turn it into positive and be a great nurse. Everyone is already anxious about the results that may come this week, let’s just give our positive energy to all the applicants looking to hear back from CUSON this week. ❤️

Excuse you LOL. I was responding to someones comment on this thread. Im not the only one who leaves comments about the school and its process.

What do you mean by it sounds a bit privileged? I don’t like how that sounds because it sounds disgustingly rude. I was responding to someones comment on this thread. You could easily scroll pass my comment because I am not the only person who has been negative.

There was nothing rude about what I said. Take it as you may. To your point, you are not the only one who made a rude comment but this is the comment that we responded to.  Now if you did not want people to respond to your “public” comment, don’t make it public.

You already withdrew your application. You’re basically no longer a Columbia applicant. There is no need for you to keep following the thread since it will no longer concern you. Most of us are frustrated, and im sure mentally exhausted. But we get it. We are still waiting for a decision from them regardless of what is going on. So if we choose to go to Columbia, we will. If we don’t, we don’t.

This is no social media, not a site to come vent at any possible moment your disdain for CUSON or any other school. One thing is to talk through it to get insights and another is to negatively post. If you are not even planning on going move on.

Telling someone they sound privileged is definitely rude.

Okay?

Maybe the moderators will shut down this forum (again) since it’s becoming unproductive (again). This process has been arduous for everyone. Those who choose to wait and would still consider CUSON, should have the space to do that without the negativity.

For those who are waiting and don’t get in, those who choose to go elsewhere, those who have pulled their applications due to frustration - best of luck on your paths, you will make it happen if you stick with it.

For everyone else, crossing my fingers going into this (hopefully) final week.

I agree. The negativity is so unnecessary. We’re all in this waiting game together even though it’s taking quite a while. Lets not let our feelings and frustration get the best of us. Hopefully we hear some good news this week ?

I agree, goodness- I've never seen anything like this on any other allnurses forum before. I understand we're all stressed but y'all are speaking to your potential future classmates or coworkers like this. ?

Deciding where to go to school is a very personal decision and there are good and bad fits of schools for everyone!
