MDC Nursing Spring 2019

To anyone out there....

I had planned to apply for Fall 2018 but I will be finishing my pre reqs on May 1,2018. The exact deadline to apply for Fall. Is anyone in a similar situation? Do you think I should apply anyways?

Did you apply for the bridge program on campus or online?

Strange, they that haven't send out the acceptance for generic program, also this is the earliest I've seen them send out the letters. The generic option has the most seats which maybe another reason for the delay.

This is also the first time they have 2 orientations for generic so the class must my larger than their usual.

I passed by the Medical Campus to ask if I could pay the $100 deposit but explained I was accepted to accelerated and awaiting notification about generic. They said to wait because payment of the $100 would reject generic and hold seat for accelerated. Hence I should wait and when I followed up, they told me that there was a hiccup (surprise) with the generic and they had no idea when those would be sent out. I would say they are disorganized but we should be close to getting some news soon.

@ shireenk7 hopefully thats the case haha. I applied with 85 HESI score & 3.1 gpa, and I honestly don't know how to feel about it

A hiccup? That makes me nervous. I was told the same if you accept the accelerated now you will forfeit your seat for the generic automatically and cant change.

However, I rather do the accelerated than miss my chance by waiting for the generic. Hopefully we hear news about the generic early next week.

In the meantime I am getting my titers and my background done. I will be doing the BLS course sat 20th at the nursing station if anyone is going that day.

Does anyone know what is the deadline for all the paperwork?

We almost have the same composite score!! I'm sure you made it. I did!!

I made it in to full time generic! I got a 76 on the hesi and a 3.2 science gpa

Hello everyone! I just got the email for full-time generic acceptance. 95.6 HESI, 3.8 Science GPA. Doing my fingerprints and bloodworm this week as well as CPR class on monday morning.
