It's never too early to start the discussion....
Anyone else preparing to apply to the Nursing program at MDC by May 1, for a Fall 2021 start date? Which tracks? TEAS test plans?

It means whatever your entire GPA is at that point, not just the prerequisite courses. So those 130 hours on your transcript will also count from what I understand. If you look on your my academics page, it should show your current overall GPA. That's the number they will use.

No, we don't have to score 80% and above, the passing score is 60%, but since the program is so competitive the more the better. In the past, usually those scoring 80 and above, and even 70s have gotten in!
Hey guys!
I just retook my exam and scored a 93% on the science, 90% on the math, an 80% on reading and a 75% on the grammar with an overall score of 84%. I found the exam was a lot harder than my first attempt but, I did study a lot more this attempt. I will be applying to the generic full time program when the scores are posted, hopefully these scores are acceptable. Also, I just spoke to an advisor and he said they look at the overall score and the science score.

There is so much inconsistency from them! I haven't heard from anyone yet about them focusing on science scores, they only care about the overall score from everything else I've heard. Other schools do care about the science score, though. Maybe the advisor meant the science GPA?

You don't need a retake with an 85%, that's very high and above average as long as your GPA and science GPA are high.
I think I read that it takes 24 hours for the MDC system to update and show your scores there.
There have never been stats about which numbers get into the nursing program at MDC.
You need 60% to apply-- not to get in. I wouldn't feel too confident with a 60% score, though.
