It's never too early to start the discussion....

Anyone else preparing to apply to the Nursing program at MDC by May 1, for a Fall 2021 start date? Which tracks? TEAS test plans?

3.8 GPA and TEAS 89

Now how do I get into complio LOL

I figured it out. https://miamidadecollege.complio.com/

Am I just buying everything they offer? What's the deal?

I ended up doing the 2 years just in case. $45

Fingerprinting Monday.

CPR Monday.

I just need to schedule the medical form.

Hello by any chance is a group chat ?

Where are you guys going to get your Student Health Form completed?

I'm assuming we can just go to a lab type place and get the titer and drug test done, but before I call wanted to see if anyone had a plan.

Im going to my PCP next Friday, but I know some people went to CVS/ Walgreens and also the urgent care does them but they are a bit pricey ?

This is completed by your HCP after you have your labs done because thats part of the form.

Hey Guys!! I just got my acceptance letter! I was accepted into the Generic FT at medical campus. I am so happy! Such a relief!

To make sure you're covering everything, on your acceptance email, click on the blue hyperlink that says: Please note that to reserve your seat, you must complete all requirements listed within the  "Generic Full-Time Nursing Program Admissions website" (or whatever your option), and upload all required documents into your Complio account.

Complio: American Data Bank's "Complio" is an online system used by MDC's Medical Campus for tracking immunizations and other requirements. The cost is $24 for one year or $45 for two years. (do 2 years)

CPR: make sure its through a program thats with the American Heart Association

Level Two & AHCA Background Screenings:The cost for both background screenings is $129.(the level 2 screening will have to be done again while in the program since its only valid for a year)

Titers & injections:

Varicella (Chicken Pox), Mumps, Rubeola (Measles), and Rubella (German Measles) blood titer lab results

Two current (within the past 3 months) consecutive TB skin tests (at least 7 days apart) or the QuantiFERON test

A minimum of a 10-panel drug screening results (make sure you do the minimum of 10 drugs bc people did the 6 or something and it was invalid)

Hepatitis B vaccine series

Tdap vaccination within ten (10) years

All of these titers and injections can be ordered through your pcp. If you don't have one, you can order your own titers through personalabs or labcorp. There's coupons out there to make them cheaper. The vaccines can also be given at pharmacies.

Hope this helps. Congratulations everyone

Yea. I looked at the form in more detail and it's all I, I, I, Except for section 7. I'm just going to get my labs done at a testing center, then have a physician sign that section. Thanks!

I was looking at the list of options for this, and just want to make sure I choose the correct one, from the list, do we select the one that says "Background for medical campus nursing: AHCA & FDLE Level 2 background" ??

Yes that’s the correct one. One is to do a background check and the other is for you to go and get fingerprinted.
