It's never too early to start the discussion....

Anyone else preparing to apply to the Nursing program at MDC by May 1, for a Fall 2021 start date? Which tracks? TEAS test plans?

How did everyone score so high?? What did you guys use to study?

Hey guys, I just got my acceptance email into the PT program. I must say I didn't think I was going to get in because of my TEAS score compared to others!! I'm guessing the PT program is less competitive. Don't give up!!

Thank you!! GPA 3.3 TEAS 64

Honestly don't know how people did so good. That test was insane! Kudos to them though!

I used Khan academy, took every practice I could find online, and I got the mometrix TEAS book. My first attempt was a 72% and second is a 84%. What did you get?

Honestly, I didn't. My english and math scores carried me. I got a 100/98% on the three nonscience (AM I EVEN IN THE RIGHT FIELD LOL) was taking microbio and a&p2 while I took it, so I guess what I needed to know was semi in there.

I applied to this program too. ALL THREE, and have only heard back from accelerated. That first 21 credit semester IS DAUNTING. I think we all need to chill until maybe Sunday. By we, I definitely mean me.

Keep in mind that it’s not as bad as it looks. Many of the first-semester classes for Accelerated carry over into semester two.

Have you spoken to anyone in the program? The 10, 11, 11, 10 credit break up just seems so much more reasonable than 21, 7, 14. 

But would love to hear from someone who's lived it.

I know a few people who did it without problems. Some of the courses are done more quickly, but Medical-Surgical Nursing (and lab) are split between semester 1 and 2. That's 8 credit hours right there split between the two, so don't think of it as 21 semester one and only 7 semester two. I think it's totally manageable if you don't have heavy work commitments and want to cut a semester out of your time.

Good morning! I just got accepted! They actually called me to see if I was accepting my seat, they said they had sent me the acceptance email a couple of days ago but I never got it so they are going to resend it so that I can pay the $100! I'm so happy!!!
