I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!
I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol
@backtobasics what do you mean notifications started last wednesday? I hope your referring to the calls not the email. I got 3 calls and no email yet. Checking everyday like a mad lady. I like this thread it is very helpful. Good luck to everyone. Im nervous because everyone is talking about starting studying already and all these books etc for nursing fundementals or something and I have no clue what you guys are talking about....yikes. Where did you find this all out? :)

LOL yea a lot of info is just from reading older MDC threads. I posted a link for one that contains a lot of useful information. Also, some dates I personally know bc I was accepted last year but for personal reasons had to decline. I have all the papers still and scanned the medical sheets for everyone here. Some of us take classes at the medical campus so we get to talk to some current students. I work at the medical library so I get to ask students all the time about their experiences and stuff!
i haven't even eaten anything all day and i can't get out of bed, i'm going to have to get ready for work though i don't want to. You know what's sad i know someone that is a nurse and she told me it's sad how you work so hard to get into nursing school and a lot of people once they become a nurse forget that and they look so miserable and are so mean at their jobs. It makes no sense most nurses i meet in the profession are not sociable or kind or caring in any form. I don't know if they become desensitized, but it makes no sense.
welcome to miami. honestly. big cities are like that. i can say the same about teachers, doctors, bankers, businesspeople here, etc etc. anyone can get burned out in THIS city. i for one plan to relocate after graduation )

The guy that called me said they would start going out on Monday for sure but it might take a few days to send them to everyone...hopefully he is right about them going out today...should we start calling them already??
I do know that the registration for the program starts 6/22. It's a new thing I see on the Academic calendar. Now they let you have early registration if you are a student that has to be admitted into a program. There's no way they can let it go past that date.. the worst that can happen is that we wait a few more days at the most..(I hope we don't though!)..Monday! Monday! Monday!
