Hello there. My name is Greg. Im gonna start hopefully the nursing program this fall 2016 in Miami dade college. let me tell you a little about me. Ive graduated from Miami dade college in 2014 with my AA in pre nursing, therefore I have all my pre reqs done. my overall gpa is 3.62 and my science gpa is 3.96. I still haven't taken the hesi exam but I plan on march. Im starting this post because were already in January of 2016 and I would like to meet my future classmates. Please if you starting in fall of 2016 feel free to comment and let us all know your status and strategies on the hesi exam. We can all help each other out. By the way I heard the deadline to apply for the fall term is may 2016.

Congrats to all that got accepted , Im going in to the generic full time ����������. One question for th background how does it work ?

I completed mine today, I followed the link and filled out all the information and paid for the back ground check. Then I scheduled an appointment for today. I was really fast, went in they digitally took my finger prints and that's it! The lady told me Miami Dade would receive the results in 2 to 3 days and that I would receive an email so that I can go pick up my results.

Good afternoon guys I wanted to update you just in case you have not completed the steps. The finger printing process, at least the office thats in Hialeah, you can go any time. The only reason why you pick the appointment time is to be able to process the payment. The lady said it does matter if you want to walk in and just "pretend you are making an appointment" because either way she does not look at what time your appointment is, it is pretty much first come first serve (The entire process is less than 30 minutes).As far as the Health Package at Miami Dade Wellness Clinic it is pretty fast too, I was able to do everything in less than 2 hours with no appointment. The Clinic is right in front of the Advisement office. The only thing is that they see appointments first then walk ins but like I said there was no one there. I was able to get everything done, I just have to go back to have the first PPD read then have the second one. All the results are given to me once I get the results for the second PPD.

Does anyone else born out of the US test positive for PPD? I prefer to skip the skin test and go straight to the XR. I emailed them but haven't heard back yet. Anyone having this issue?

Are we gonna be able to select our class schedule after the orientation day? Does anyone knows?

If you guys have orientation, its usually during that time you'll receive a list of classes to choose from.

Hey future classmates,

I'm planning on choosing the Generic PT for the 8 semesters because I would like to keep my current job. Does anyone knows if you're able to work at least 3 days with transition/bridge FT option?

I'll be accepting the Generic PT on Friday but would've loved to finish sooner.
