Hello there. My name is Greg. Im gonna start hopefully the nursing program this fall 2016 in Miami dade college. let me tell you a little about me. Ive graduated from Miami dade college in 2014 with my AA in pre nursing, therefore I have all my pre reqs done. my overall gpa is 3.62 and my science gpa is 3.96. I still haven't taken the hesi exam but I plan on march. Im starting this post because were already in January of 2016 and I would like to meet my future classmates. Please if you starting in fall of 2016 feel free to comment and let us all know your status and strategies on the hesi exam. We can all help each other out. By the way I heard the deadline to apply for the fall term is may 2016.

Hi Guys,

If you have insurance, go to your primary healthcare physician and see if they can run the titers. You will probably end up paying only the copay. The MDC Health Clinic charges $340 to check the titers and if you need a vaccine they will charge an additional $70 to $100 for the needed vaccination. My doctor does not do the drug panel but the MDC health clinic will do that for $30 and they said no appointment is needed.

Has anyone had their scrubs embroidered at blue angels? I heard they will put the logo on the tops. I bought the white tops at MDC but I already have green tops because of my current job.

Many people get them embroidered in front of the store in front of the school idk if its called blue angels but I believe its about $7.

In regards to the scrubs, does anyone know if they're required to be from the MDC bookstore or can we purchase them anywhere as long as they are the required color? Are they also required to have the logo or is this optional?

It is required to have the logo. From what Ive heard you can buy the required colors and get the logo embroidered at the uniform store across the street which is called blue angels.
