MDC Fall 2019 Nursing

Hello fellow students! I wanted to create a topic for those who are planning on starting the MDC Nursing program in the Fall of 2019. It's never too early to be well prepared. LOL. I have a B.A. and was able to get some of my credits transferred to the A.S. I read through the thread for the Fall of 2018 class and the Spring of 2019 class. Both threads have some very useful information regarding how to study for the HESI, scores needed to get into the program, etc. and many people from those groups keep in touch in Facebook and via Whatsapp. I'm looking for a support/study group for those that are in the same timeline as I am. Just starting BSC2086 A&P 2/lab and MGF1106 next week at Kendall/Homestead campuses. Also, looking for P/T work at Baptist Hospital or MDC. I am anticipating taking Microbiology and the Intro to Healthcare in the Spring '19, along with the HESI. Hope to meet some great people on here!

Yes I was talking to my mom and she actually graduated from MDC years ago and she brought that to my attention so that can be true that you mentioned about your sister as well. Fingers crossed we are in the pool of acceptance ????????. We all got this we are in there.

did you apply for the medical campus or Homestead? I wonder why they would extend the deadline, maybe they don’t have enough applicants?? Thoughts ?

For the generic, you dont get to choose which campus, they select your campus depending on your address. For the accelerated, the only option is Medical campus. And not having enough applicants is a possibility but that gives the people that applied with low scores a better chance at getting in if not a lot of people applied.

Yes I definitely agree, it gives a lot of ppl a opportunity to apply. Well we only have to wait mid June to see if we get in. Good luck to everyone

Wishing everyone the best of luck! I guess extended deadline is good. If there would’ve been a lot of applicants they would’ve stuck with May 1st.

I applied to both full time and part time but really hope to get into the full time.

Im also trying to get my transcript fixed since it says I took anatomy and physiology as a second attempt even though I took that class once and passed

anyways has someone created the WhatsApp group ?? I’m able to start it if no one has

I wish I could apply for this fall semester. Everything is ready to go except I have to take the TOEFL and get 61. I got only 52 so I have to retake it again :( Good luck everyone!

Hi!! Can someone please add me to the group chat on whatsapp? I applied for the fall 2019 bridge program as I am already a paramedic. I scored an 82% on the HESI and my overall GPA is a 3.3 as of right now. Hoping and praying we get in guys!!!! Best of luck.

P.S. Does anyone know around when the first wave of acceptance letters should be going out?! Maybe first week of June??..

Expect letters to be sent mid june.
