I was looking on a PA website and they were discussing PA to MD bridges and if NPs could go this route. One PA commented on his/her view of NPs was that they have been giving physicians the finger for years so the AMA would never allow a NP to MD pathway.
However, NPs we might make a MD to NP bridge someday!!!!
I couldnt stop laughing
What's with nursing requiring a course in nutrition? Mine was so low yield I can honestly say it was just a check on a box.
it gives people who have a nutrition degree jobs that aren't RD jobs.
same thing for all of the fine arts. Fine arts are hobbies, not careers, unless your like top 0.1% which nobody is lol
because you know, according to collages, all the great writers need a degree in english to be proficient, right? lol
I didn't learn to talk until i took a communications class either. Pretty much a prereq for moving your vocal cords since everything that comes out prior to taking that class sounds like two whales humping on a friday night.
What about NP scholastics at all mirrors medical academics? I don't see how such a path would be possible without starting over.
Well, an NP could have a bachelor's of science with a premed focus, so it's not exactly like starting from square one. I agree with you though; graduate nursing education is not in the same academic league as medical training, as a generalization.

The nutrition course in my nursing program was excellent (and I'm a tough audience, academically), and I learned a lot that continues to be useful in my practice as well as my personal life.

Your probably right. Most of it is rare disease stuff. I think it's main purpose is to just see who can do best one step one as a way to judge who gets what specialty for the most part. Still interesting though and has more clinical significance than nursing research. All programs have their downfall medical and nursing I'd say
