MD Anderson Grad Residency Program

Hello all.

Thought I would start a topic to discuss the MD Anderson Cancer Center's Grad Residency Program that is to start on June 25, 2012 and July 09, 2012. The application deadline was on April 27, 2012. Let's keep each other updated and post when MD Anderson starts calling for interviews, etc. Good luck to everyone that applied!!

Being licensed already has no bearing on them "throwing u out there ". I was licensed when i started. In fact i think they only hire ppl with their license. But every nurse is so helpful and willing to answer any questions u have even if they r not ur coach. U stay on orientation for 12 weeks. If they feel that u r not ready to b on ur own then u will stay on orientation past 12 weeks. Every week u will meet with ur instructor and ur coach to discuss ur progress. U will meet with the director of ur floor once a month. Hope this helps!

Nope. Hopefully next week? Probably won't hear anything on Monday because of Memorial Day. I think I will call up next week sometime and ask about the process. Will let you all know what they say.

Do you know if they are starting on June 25 or July 9? I wonder if they are calling people who are starting earlier 1st? Also did your friends interview mon, tues or wed (2nd panel interview?)

I'm not sure when they interviewed, I'm still waiting to hear back from them. Im staying positive until I get the rejection call/email

One of my friends (she interviewed 30 minutes before me on Tuesday) said that the lady told her the start date was july 1st. My other friend interviewed Monday. They both used to for MDA, so maybe they got called first for that reason?

My classmate was in their Externship program as well, so maybe that has something to do with them getting picked first? Hopefully :)

they start june 25th and july 9th. Good luck to you!! HR was trying to call everyone Friday before the weekend, but i doubt she got to it..so next week you should hear somthing!! I asked and they said there were 30-50 spots and interview 70. so your odds are good! If anyone did get an offer, what unit did you get? :)
