This thread is for anyone who applied for the MD Anderson Spring 2015 GN Residency. Just a way to stay informed about the interview/hiring process. I had my panel interview 10/13/14 and waiting to hear something. Please share any thoughts or info you may have. Good luck everyone!
@meho223 I live in Pearland which is about 15-20 min south of the Med Center. It's nice because you're not exactly in Houston so there's a lot of more reasonably priced places to live. But traffic can be horrible driving into the med center if you're on the road at the wrong time. Med Center apartments can be way overpriced because of the location or they can be really cheap/unsafe because they're so close to the Reliant. I personally think it's better to live not too close to the med center.
I also interviewed on the 13th and have not heard anything back. I can only speak for myself, but I did not set up my interview with Toni. I set it up through another member with HR who stated that they would no longer have any updates on our application, and Toni would be our contact person. They did not give me any of her contact information. I called multiple times to speak with her and they would not let me only stating that I needed to check the status of my application on the HR website. My status is that my application is 'completed.' But I'm guessing that means no offer. Congrats to everyone who received an offer and good luck!
Mine says completed and she told me last Monday that they would be extending me a job offer. I missed her call today, but I do know that my classmate was told she would also be receiving an official offer and she has yet to receive that call from Toni. I also heard that some people received rejection letters. So don't give up hope yet!
Hey all. I spoke with Toni on Monday and she told me she was waiting on salary approval from the hiring manager. I was told by her on 10/20 that I was selected and was going to receive a formal offer by phone! She told me this was a long process, but as of 10/16 the panels had decided who they selected... any formalities after that were to be dealt with by HR, salary people, unit managers etc.
Hey everyone! I called Toni today and she gave me the details on my offer, G12 leukemia. She said she was waiting on emails from some unit manager and other HR peeps before making the official call to me. It seems like a lot of people are taking their time getting back to her and that's why this has been a little slow.

@meho223 Congrats! What unit & shift did they offer? Was it your preferred one? I'm anxiously waiting for her to get back to me.
