MD Anderson GN Residency Spring 2015

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

This thread is for anyone who applied for the MD Anderson Spring 2015 GN Residency. Just a way to stay informed about the interview/hiring process. I had my panel interview 10/13/14 and waiting to hear something. Please share any thoughts or info you may have. Good luck everyone!

Hey, all. I interviewed with the panel today and received a phone call tonight scheduling me for a unit tour. Not sure if this is a job offer or part of the interview process? The recruiter told me I had an amazing interview, so I thought this was a job offer, but now I'm not sure.

Has anyone gotten any information about the positions? Like pay and start date, etc?

I'm starting the Lymphoma/Myeloma unit on February 23rd! They gave me the option to start February 9th, but I'm from out of state and wanted to have time to take the NCLEX and get settled in Houston.

How long ago did you interview and then when did you hear when they you started? I interviewed almost 3 weeks ago, she emailed and said I got the position the same night, and said she'd contact me with the official offer the next week. I called to follow up a week after that and she said she was still working on it. Now I'm getting concerned but don't wanna bug her about it because she said she would call as soon as she found out

I'm getting calls for other interviews but I don't wanna waste anyone's time if its not necessary. But I don't know anything about the positon except the floor I'm on and that I work nights. Waiting is sooooooo frustrating.

I interviewed in October. It took two weeks for them to email me an unofficial/official offer and then another week after the email for Toni to call me with the official offer. It takes a little bit for the official offer phone call because she has to get your salary approved with the hiring manager first. But if you go the email for an offer then you have the job. When she calls with the official offer she will provide you with a couple different start date options for you to choose from. Congratulations!

Hi all, are you all BSN?

Ok good. Thanks for the info. I'll try to give her more time before I freak out lol. Cassybear, Yes, I have my BSN.

Can anyone who's started tell me what they do about BLS training? I just realized mine is expired and I start Monday :nailbiting: and I'm surprised they haven't already asked for a copy of my card.
