Hey I found out last night, I got into the days RN program:yeah:, i was just wondering if there is anyone else on here who did????
Also, you should have received a paper that outlines what they are looking for in your essay. If you did not get this contact your admission reps to get it. You shouldn't write the essay withour the guidelines they are looking for.
I did get an outline of what is suppose to be in the essay...7 questions were on it. I asked my admissions rep yesterday about it and she said it was fine, that all I have to do is pass Chemistry and be professional at my interview and I am in, not to worry about the essay too much :uhoh21:
I am almost done with Chem and I have a high B, so I think I will finish well. I am a little bummed thought because I have the other 2 pre reqs to take and I just found out that I will not even get a call to interview until mid term, which is like mid December. I am worried that they will have determined who they like before then and all the spots will be gone.
Any insight on the interview process? Anyone who was one of the last to interview and still made it?
Darn! I just typed out a response and then my page refreshed!
I still have one prereq - the computer class and I start it Dec 1st. Because of my high TEAS and letters of recommendation, I was told that I'm in as long as I finish the computer class. Are you trying for the day or night class? I want the day class and he told me that it's easier to get into the day class because so many people want the night class. He also said that their goal is to have the "final" list by Christmas, but he doesn't see that happening at all because so many people will still be in the prereqs. Good luck! Hopefully we'll both be in it!
I am going for days. I hope that he is right. I have heard so many conflicting stories about the process I am confused. I am going to just focus and do they very best I can do and pray. I learned today that if I get at least a 94 on my final I should have an A in chem.
I will see you in Computers!
Everyone has been told SOOO many things but I think I have the jist of it, here it goes, ALOT of it is based on the TEAS scores, then the Chem scores ( I got a 92 B:(, I was .5 from an A), then the scores from the other Prereqs, then a little is based on the interview and attendence. As for the essay and refrences, I haven't heard much. But really, I have no clue and I don't think anyone does for sure.
Just keep doing your best and praying:saint:, thats what I am doing :wink2:!

I had to write the essay on 3 questions. Basically things regarding why i want to be a nurse, why I would make a good nurse, etc. You might want to condense your essay to about 4 pages or less double spaced. 8 pages is a lot to read and you want them to remember you from your essay...just my thoughts though.
