MCG Clinical Nurse Leader - Fall 2010

Published

I have applied to MCG's MSN-CNL Program to start in Fall 2010, and I am wondering if current/past students could tell me when (as in what month) they received a phone call for an interview or acceptance/rejection letters.

Additionally, I applied to the Athens Campus program, so will the interview be held in Athens, or will I need to drive to Augusta? Thanks for helping me plan ahead :) I really hope I am the type of candidate they are looking for!

mine also says "ready for review"... glad I'm not alone!

Hi All! Olivia said that MCG probably wont send out any official paperwork until the very end of April beginning of May, so don't fret :) PS If anyone is still finishing pre-req's good luck. I am done my final pre-req in 4 weeks and I am looking forward to a relaxing summer :) Hope all is going well for everyone!

Ugh, I'm actually finishing up three prereqs... A&P II, micro, and organic chem... about 3 weeks left for me... I can see the finish line! Good luck!

Jillibeeg-

Thanks for updating us...I was getting a little nervous myself.

Mal-

3 weeks is great! Enjoy your summer. I will be down to the wire. I'm taking 2 more classes this summer, ugh! They're on-line though and should be a breeze.

All-

Has anyone filed the FAFSA? I spoke w/ financial aid and it doesn't look like there's much help out there other than student loans for me. I'll keep looking, but they're saying that my EFC is 18,000!!!

Hey everyone! I found out recently that I was accepted into the pre-liscenture CNL program in Augusta, and now I'm starting to think about housing. Is anyone still looking for a roommate? I would like to live off-campus.

I'm finishing two pre-req's (A&P II and Human Development), but there's only three weeks left including finals.

I filled out the FAFSA in February (I'm still in the habit of getting it done early from being an undergrad) and sent the information to MCG, but seeing how Admissions hasn't even recognized that we're Accepted, we probably won't hear anything for awhile. So, my filling out the FAFSA early was probably pointless.

Yeah, I called financial aid about a week ago and they said that we can't do or know anything until we're offically in the system. Then there's another form to fill out specifically for MCG and I think thats it...

Good luck to everyone finishing pre-req's I am sure we will all finish with flying colors :)

As for financial aid, I wont be much help there, my husband and I dont qualify for financial aid so we will paying the whole thing ourselves and we have opted out of loans(still paying off undergrad loans for the both of us) its going to be a busy summer of working in the ER for me :) Good luck with FAFSA..( I remember those days from undergrad)

Post once we start getting our paperwork!

Hello, I wanted to see if ya'll could give me your opinion on something. I live in Athens, and aplllied to the Athens program, but only got accepted to the Augusta program. I really want to do this, but I have concerns about driving to Augusta. It would be fine if I didn't have children, but I have a one year old and don't want to be unfiar to her. What do you think? DO you think I would be gone too much with the clinicals and classes? Or do yout hink it is doable? THanks!

Hey girl, I am kind of dealing with the same thing you are. I got accepted to the Augusta campus, my husband works and we live in Atlanta (with my 2 year old daugter). We are really hoping for a job for him in Augusta, but if one doesn't come, I'm going to have to go to school anyway. I know the program is only 2 or 3 days a week (depending on the semester), so I may have to spend a night or two in Augusta then travel back for the rest of the week. Good luck!

Mal09-

Hey I wrote to you on facebook about your situation check it out and let me know!

Jill

Do you know if it will 2 or 3 days a week even when we have clinicals? Thanks for your response!
