I'm currently in the weekend program. When I entered block one I took the math class just to brush up on my math skills. I felt it was very useful. I didn't take the AB class, from what I heard the one in block one wasn't very useful. I took AB in block two and it was VERY useful, it just focused our study areas. Block three AB was very useful too, I'd definitely recommend any extra help you can get in block three. I'm starting block four in Aug and plan on taking the AB course again. I would take the math class but I think the timing might not be right for me again this semester.
Good luck with everything, block one really isn't too bad.

hi--for any of you in this program, i was wondering if you could tell me pros and cons for taking the additional classes for the first block that are for brushing up on the math skills and also for review.here they are NUR104AB (structured nursing review) and NCE214MO basic math for beginning nursing students.
let me know what they are like and if they are worth the time and money...
thanks!
In block 3 and 4, every student was taking NUR104AB. We all needed all the help we could get. The math is always helpful since you take a calculation test every semester that you need to get 100% on to move on. There is also an advanced math calc class that I recommend.
I don't recommend the NCLEX practice class. I did very well studying the material on my own.
