MCC, OCC students, question....

Hello all, I am wondering if there is anyone here who are attending either Oakland Community or Macomb Community College. I am trying to decide which one to go to, so anyone who wants to share their experience, positive or negative, I think that would be helpful. I am most interested in if you feel the instructors are of a good quality where you go, and if you feel you are getting a good education. Thank you.

I got the HESI study guide and found it to be very helpful - and worth the $25, because I got into the program (I start next month!) fyi - I had a 4.0gpa and a 92 on the HESI. Good luck :-)

Exactly where did you get your HESI study guide? I need to pick one up and start prepping myself.

You can order them off of this website: http://www.hesitest.com/students/

But check the library at the school, sometimes they have several copies and you can sign up to borrow them for a couple days.

Thanks... I will check out both...

Hi I'm graduating from MCC nursing program in three weeks and I loved it. As far as which school to apply to.......I would apply to as many as you can because it's not that easy to get into the nursing program. Both schools accept students differently too. I know two years ago OCC went by who had the most pre-requisites done. I'm not sure if they still do it like that or not. But Macomb goes by your last 12 credit hours GPA and your score that you get on the HESI exam. I would read the eligibility requirements for both schools and also consider going to St. Clair Community College too. It might be a far drive, but it's worth it if you can get into the program.
