Hello everyone!
I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.
Hi, I'm new to this post and I have been following this thread for the past year, and it's amazing how applying/or getting accepted to nursing school is so over-the-top. I myself is finishing up some of my pre-req's to apply for 2016 program @ MCC, and I know I will probably be in the same boat as some of you guys around this time next year. I have faith in everyone here, in getting their acceptance letters. I wish you all luck and don't give up
thank you @niquebaby its so over the top because the program is very competetive and its not enough nursing schools in the metro detroit area for the amount of students who want to be nurses. I am not giving up either even tho chances of me making the cut are very slim lol. i have faith that i will be an aternative. I live rite behind the school on garfield and 19mile literally have walked to and from school before. i will let everyone know if i get something anytime soon but last year i got my letter later then folks who lived near south campus..... i got a feeling we will be waiting until next week. 98% of people on this blog has it trust me ..... Good luck everyone and make sure you post your scores as well as if you were accepted or not. and if you make the alternatie list pleaseeeeee post with your scores.... Thanks guys :-)
Absolutely, some of these nursing schools standards are set sssooo high, that it makes it that much difficult to get in. Like someone mention previously, they should do away with the hesi and teas test for entrance, and just accept individuals on first term basis. Anyway, I will definitely keep you posted on my hesi score, in which I will take in December.....in the mean time, "you got this!"
This may not be a popular opinion, but I think those standards should be high. They need to make sure they are accepting competent, capable individuals. Nurses do very serious, important work! Standards are even higher at the university level.
I hope tomorrow is the day. The waiting is torturous!
