MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.:up:

Again get the latest test date fir the hesi that u can get you dont wanna have to study for finls while studying for the test ...... and any subject u arent ao gud in take your summer to go obver from begining to end

Lol and @msperczi no u are given a simple calculator its the basic calculator that comes on the computer u are able to divide multiply add n subtract ..... so peoblems such as 2.5*4.5 u can put in tbe calculator and get the exact answer that was a big help too ... i got a 95% on my math

Sweet sounds good :) what about the math do they have all the keys on the calculator or did they really take off the multiply and divide keys?

Math is by far my weakest subject as well! I have always excelled in Grammar and Reading Comprehension so I'm not overly concerned about those areas.

Mperczi- I don't believe we are allowed to post specific professor names, are we? I would have to look it up anyway, but from what I remember he is male and his last name begins with -----------. I think!

Deanna- I have taken Psych 101, English, Intro to Nursing, Ballet, Fine Art Appreciation, and Lifespan and Development. I received As in all, but unfortunately the only ones that will transfer are Psych 101 and English lol. I'll have to take A&P this summer then Micro and Intro to Nursing (MCC style) this fall.

Maria have you taken A&P yet? When does intro start for you? I was going to try to do both, but I thought I better focus on A&P alone.

Meagan I am finishing a&p next week. Intro to nursing starts june 2nd. I think I know which professor your talking about.

How was your A&P class? Any tips for me? I've never taken such an important and high credit class in such a small amount of time. I'm super nervous.

Yeah its nerve wrecking. If you work alot I would def reconsider taking it in the summer. Everyone is different though. You need to spend alot of your time in the library studying for lab. Ive heard people taking that course at occ instead because its broken down into two semesters vs the condensed 6 credit hours.

Also the hesi at occ is way easier. So says my nursing friends. It only has reading and math on it. I am honestly considering applying there instead.

Oh I'm so glad now that I didn't register for Intro at the same time! I don't work so I am able to focus completely on the course. Hopefully that will be helpful!

I guess I'll be spending a lot of time in the library.
