Hi, has anyone else been placed at Mesa community college for the fall. I am in the afternoon evening class and would like to find others I will be in class with.

If you search for a class on the school website you can see some of the campuses schedules. Search NUR 152.

The schedule on the site is usually pretty general. Some can say mon-Fri, and thats not true. Its just to give an idea.
I see this question a lot.. But honestly each semester can change a fraction to completely, so just wait til orientation. Generally speaking tho, expect 2 days of lecture, maybe one of those days is combined with a lab day, and a clinical day when those start. Its more specific than that, but like I said generally! :)

I'm wondering the same thing. I have a timestamp of 6/5/2015 8:00:50 . I'm hoping for Spring 2015 also. I wonder what our chances are.
Patty, did you get placed?

I was just accepted to the MCC eve traditional program today.. Can you give any info as to how the program is going? Schedule wise. Are you enjoying the afternoon/evening schedule? Days a week now? Thanks ahead

Did any of you attending Mesa take the extra classes? The math and structured review classes? I'm trying to figure out if they are worth the extra time? I know you can't drop one of them later and I want to hear people's opinions if they are worth it??? Need help please! Tell me if you took them or if you heard anything if they are worth it or not! Please thank you!

I took both the review and the math course. I stayed all the way through both but I wish I had dropped them. If I were you, I would sign up, attend the classes, and if they're not helpful to you, drop them by the withdraw date.
I am pretty strong in math so the extra practice was unnecessary for me. Besides, you learn the math skills in your nursing classes. Take the course if you think you'll need that additional reinforcement. The structured review course just went over the previous week's material and was sort of an open forum for questions regarding those topics. Once again, unnecessary for me - I would have rather had the extra hour to study before class.
tldr;
Sign up, drop later. Figure out if you need the extra classes. I know they helped some people in my class, I was just not one of them.
I hope this helped! Good luck with block 1!

Hi, sorry about the late reply. I'm not ever on here anymore because...uh, nursing school. Haha.
Congrats on your placement!
I just finished block 1 so I can now report back on what my schedule was.
First 8 weeks:
M 10:30-12:00 - Math Review, 12:00-3:00 - Lecture, 3:30-6:30 - Lab
T 10:30-12:00 - NUR Review, 12:00-3:00 - Lecture, 3:30-6:30 - Lab
W OFF
Th 11:00-6:00 - Lab
F OFF
Second 8 weeks:
M 12:00-2:30 - Lecture
T 12:00-2:30 - Lecture
Th 2:00-10:00 - Clinicals
F 2:00-10:00 - Clinicals
I hope this helps. I did work full-time for the first 3 months of the semester (I do NOT recommend) and all of that time in between when I wasn't working, I was studying.
I did enjoy the afternoon/evening schedule because it allowed me to spend mornings studying. I generally woke up at 5-6 on days before class, was at the library by 7-8, and had a solid 3 hours to review things. That's just what worked for me - it's different for everyone, of course.
I wish you the best of luck :)

Math class = very helpful.
Nursing review class = not helpful AT ALL. It was a huge disappointment. So much that the interest in doing one for Block 2 was so low that they didn't even do one for Block 2. I start Block 3 next month and am taking the review class. A friend of mine said it's extremely helpful.
Thank you for the replies!!

How was the first semester? Was it like you thought it would be like? Was it more or less difficult then you thought? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!!
