Hi, has anyone else been placed at Mesa community college for the fall. I am in the afternoon evening class and would like to find others I will be in class with.
In response to Patty12 and Sofia15...
Hi there!
I am not sure of my exact time stamp but I submitted my application sometime mid-October 2014 and I was placed on Apr 20 2015. I haven't checked the nursing placement site recently but I do believe they have updated it to reflect that the average wait list has gone down significantly ~ 6 mos.
After accepting placement, you will receive a welcome package #1 that will require you to do more things before the advisers register you for classes. Upon registration, you'll receive welcome package #2 which includes a tentative schedule and more information (re: uniforms, textbooks, online resources, additional supplies, etc.) and a list of even more things to do.
To be honest...placement snuck up on me. I anticipated a much longer wait than what I experienced. I begin block 1 in just a couple of weeks.
I hope that you guys don't have to wait forever and good luck with everything! If you have any other questions, please post to this thread as I am unable to receive PM's just yet - I am still a new member here. But I do keep this thread bookmarked in hopes of meeting my future classmates.
Cheers!
@Patty12: I was placed at Mesa CC's Southern & Dobson in the traditional afternoon evening slot - not the CEP. (Beware: afternoon/evening is misleading because my classes start in the late AM and end around 7PM.) And thanks on the congrats!
@NursingAZ: I posted a very, very stripped down version of my schedule in response to someone else earlier in this thread so you can look there. As of right now, class three full days a week (lab/lecture), SNA meetings once a month, and I am not sure about clinicals.
Thank you!!! That's good to know. I wonder if anyone in the morning traditional session at MCC is in this group and wouldn't mind sharing their schedule so far. I almost put the evening afternoon as my second choice but I don't think I could do that with my kids. I think I need to stick with the morning MCC traditional.
